Increased Seating at Gold Coast LibraryPosted: July 18, 2012
The Gold Coast library increased its capacity towards the end of the first semester, with 400 pieces of furniture added to the library floor.
Library staff distributed 100 beanbags, 200 stackable chairs, 50 stools and 50 laptop tables throughout G10 just in time for the busy study period.
A further 200 small tables were then added to level 2 in the following weeks.
The facilities were utilised by many students over this period, and these additions will go a long way to delivering the Library Upgrade project ahead of schedule.
Next on the agenda is converting the staff space on level 3 into a temporary student space from the end of September to January 2013.
