2012 Blended Learning SymposiumPosted: September 17, 2012
Looking for a unique (and fun!) opportunity to catch up on blended learning innovations? The 2012 Blended Learning Symposium has got you covered!
The Blended Learning Symposium is held during the University’s Celebrating Excellence in Teaching week. Co-hosted by GIHE and INS (Learning & Teaching), the event showcases exemplars of good practice in blended learning and offers a valuable opportunity for all staff, both academic and professional, who are looking for ideas and strategies to develop, implement or enhance their own blended learning approaches.
Hear from international keynote presenter Professor John Boyer, also known as the Plaid Avenger, about his clever, practical and engaging use of a variety of topics, technologies, and graphic mediums for blended learning.
“I am absolutely passionate about providing the highest quality learning experience that will produce global citizens and leaders prepared to positively shape the future … I never adopt tech just for tech’s sake and have never been interested in utilising new ‘bells and whistles’ just to appear savvy or hip or on the cutting edge… I use technologies to help connect students with each other and build community…” – Professor John Boyer.
Catch up with innovations on the local scene with Griffith University academics showcasing engaging and effective blended learning solutions for all levels of expertise and technical ability. The Blended Learning Symposium will also highlight digital and online initiatives taking place at Griffith in 2013.
