Open Access Week: The countdown is on!Posted: September 21, 2012
The growth of electronic publishing and global information exchange via the Internet has spawned the Open Access movement to encourage dissemination of knowledge freely.
It is an academically recognised fact that Open Access papers have a higher citation rate and gain a wider audience than non-Open Access papers.
GRO, Griffith’s Open Access institutional repository, contains over 34,000 records that are accessible worldwide. There were 275,000 downloads from this site in 2011 alone!
Are you aware of your options and opportunities here at Griffith? Visit the Open Access webpage or contact Roslyn Woolnough (email@example.com) to discover how you can benefit from Open Access.
Griffith University will be supporting Open Access Week 22-28 October, 2012.
