Learning Commons

Graham Legerton, Discipline Head (Education), Architectural Director, ThomsonAdsett will present the evolution of Griffith’s new Learning Commons building (G11) and GUMURRII Centre.

Following the presentation, guests will be guided on a tour of the building.

This project has been herald as an exemplar hub of modern design that embraces people, inclusion, culture, experimentation and place making at the Nobel Forum of Future Learning Environments . It includes innovative learning environments internally and externally that balance the diverse requirements of a 21st century library whilst prioritising the student experience.

The details are as follows:

Wednesday, 24 July 2013, Griffith University Gold Coast Campus
5:00pm – 6:15pm: Presentation and Tour, Seminar Room, Learning Commons (G11), Level 4 (Free)
6:15pm – 6:45pm: Cocktail networking function, Skylounge (Friends of the Library members only. To join, visit the Friends of the Library membership page.)
