Changed access to collections in campus libraries

  • INS has recently implemented some changes in the campus libraries, allowing students to access the library collection after hours.

Following feedback from students using the libraries during the evening, after hours access to the collections has increased this Semester. Although the majority of library resources students use are found online (databases, ejournals, ebooks and web resources), the following changes may affect those who visit the library after hours:

  • Previously, only the collaboration zones in each library were available to students after hours. Now, the library collection (including the reserve collection) and library quiet spaces will remain open until the library building is closed each night.
  • When the library desk closes each night students can still borrow books using the Express Loans Units (ELUs) located in each library. Our wonderful student ambassadors can also be found in the foyer after the service desks close to help with enquiries.

Opening hours can be found on the library website. For more information please contact Library and IT Help.
