The global search is on for the most innovative use of Queensland Government Open Data that benefits the Queensland community and supports the creation of new businesses—and we want you to get involved!
The 2014 Premier’s Awards for Open Data launched on 10 August 2014 and the competition closes midnight Friday 26 September 2014. Prizes totalling $15,000 will be awarded to the winners across three prize categories:
- Best use of Open Data
- Best commercial app
- Best community app.
There are also prizes for the best Queensland school student entry and the best public servant entry.
As a partner for the awards, Microsoft is also offering the StartUpQ prize (to the value of $60 000 AUD) to the entrant who demonstrates the greatest start-up potential.
