Applying for Higher Degrees by Research is now easierPosted: June 2, 2015
The online applications and workflow for Higher Degree by Research applications was successfully released in early May.
Higher Degree by Research applicants are guided step-by-step through the application. They are able to upload all required supporting documentation, nominate referees and supervisors.
Once the application is submitted, the applicants are also able to track their application online. They can see the status of the application and whether referees have completed the referee statement.
The online workflow also assists in streamlining the approval process for the relevant staff. HDR convenors and Deans (Research) can see the accreditation status and the current supervision load for supervisors to assist with determining workload. HDR convenors also have the option of including the supervisors in the online workflow.
Training opportunities were offered on all campuses during May with almost 100 staff registering to attend either an information session or hands-on training workshop.
