Research Space – a fresh new name for the existing Research Storage Service!Posted: August 5, 2015
Researchers from across the university agree the current Research Storage Service is an important, and much needed cloud-based service to securely store and share the digital data generated during their research projects.
Research staff and Higher Degree Research students who currently use this service have reported that the digital data stored is easily shared with Griffith researchers, in Australia and overseas.
“I will definitely be using the service to collaborate with other researchers outside of Griffith, so it’s really good to know we have this available,” stated one researcher.
Since its launch in August last year, this service has been the storage solution for more than 520 Griffith researchers.
Staff and Higher Degree Research candidates from Griffith Science are the biggest client user group, closely followed by those from Arts, Education and Law.
The Research Storage project will soon launch additional specialised services to researchers under the ‘Research Storage Service’ umbrella. As a result; the current cloud based storage service will have a fresh name, ‘Research Space’.
Stay tuned for exciting new specialised storage services coming your way!
