Libraries get live music

Amp

Did you walk into the library this semester and mistakenly think you’d left your headphones in, only to discover there was a live band in the foyer?

Well you aren’t alone! Across Semester 1, our Music in the Library series brought a range of musical performers to our libraries.

The exciting innovation helped enliven our campus library spaces and gave Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University (QCGU) students a chance to build valuable performance experience.

Each library was treated to different performers who offered a range of musical genres using a variety of instruments. But whether classical or modern each performance was equally rewarding for library users and the audience.

Thanks to its success there is more music on the way with another tour in Semester 2.

Thank you to all the performers from QCGU and to the music lovers who came along to support the students.

In case you missed it, here’s a sound bite from our Semester 1 performers.
