What happens in VegasPosted: July 5, 2017
Las Vegas is synonymous with glitz, glamour and gambling.
But in July, Sin City will be the destination for the best and brightest students from colleges and universities around the world.
And one of those is our very own Michael McGuinness – a Project Manager and Business Analyst with eResearch Services.
For three fun-filled days, Michael and fellow members of the Golden Key International Honours Society will attend the 2017 Golden Key International Summit (GKIS) in Vegas.
Membership into the Golden Key Society is by invitation only and applies to the top 15% of students in all fields of study, based solely on their academic achievements.
With over 2.3 million members worldwide, the society has 430 chapters at colleges and universities in ten countries: Australia, Canada, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, New Zealand, South Africa, The Bahamas and the United States.
Michael was invited by the Vice Chancellor to join Golden Key in 2015 and has attended many of the networking events run by the prestigious society.
Golden Key events have taken him to places such as the Gold Coast, Arizona, and Sydney. And very shortly, to the Glitter Strip in Nevada, USA.
Michael won a travel grant to present his workshop on Digital Anxiety at the GKIS in July.
The International Summit brings the brightest and most passionate members together from across the globe for three days. The event will feature workshops, speakers, community service opportunities and more.
